Meet Carolyn
Carolyn Schneiders Fung is a Certified Child Life Specialist who has spent 15 years helping children and families feel less afraid and more supported during some of the hardest moments in life.
​
She clinical work experience was within the walls of Duke Children's Hospital (NC) and Childre's National Medical Center (DC) where she worked directly with kids to ease anxiety and build coping skills around medical procedures, and helped staff to better understand and respond to children's emotional needs.Â
​
Carolyn has experience building personalized coping plans with a nod to behavioral economics to help children and families through routine vaccinations to surgery and MRIs.
​
A frequent speaker at national conferences including Stanford MedicineX, the Cleveland Clinic Innovation Summit, the Society of Pediatric Nursing, and the Beryl Elevate Summit, Carolyn is known for bringing warmth, patience, and a deep understanding of child development to every family she works with.
​
She holds a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University (2008).
​
Carolyn resides in Washington, DC where she lives with her husband and two children. She's a dog lover and Green Bay Packers fan!
